Lister CS 2.25" Big End/Conrod Bearing Shells (Early 3/1)
New high quality white metal bearing shells for early Lister CS 3/1 engines with a 2.25" crank pin. These bearing shells are steel backed, not bronze like the originals, however it does the same job. Available in std or oversized in 10 thou increments for where your crank has worn and had a regrind.
Each bearing shell set comes with an assortment of shims, please refer to the manual for the correct clearance requirements when fitting.
Most of the early pre- 1940 3-1 (3HP) engines have a 2.25' (2 ¼”) crank pin, these bearings are suitable for these engines, but please check your crank pin size before ordering, they are not all the same, some may be 2.5". Very early 10/2 and 5/1 engines also used these 2.25" bearings, but possibly only in the first few hundred engines, so they are quite rarely found.
Note: Due to these bearing shells being steel backed, they may need a light press fit into the conrod ends because of the shells springing open slightly. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact me before ordering.
Reference Part Numbers: 5-1/D18/19 (Bearing), 3125 (Shims).
