Lister CS Glow Plug Kit
A glow plug kit to help make it easier for you to start your CS engine when running on vegetable oil or other forms of bio/alternative fuels, it will also help starting in very cold conditions. This kit is compatible with original English built Lister CS engines and the Indian built Listeroid engines.
The glow plug bung assembly replaces the compression change over valve (COV) fitted to most original Lister engines (except for the 8-1 & 16-2 which use a blank bung) .
Fitting is a simple process, you will just need to remove the COV from your engine (if fitted), and replace it with the supplied glow plug bung. You will then need to hook up a 12V DC power supply, which will need to be applied for a few seconds before starting your engine, and once started, can be left powered on for a very short period of time to help the combustion process while the engine warms up. Please be aware that prolonged or continual use of the glow plug will lead to shortened life and to ultimately fail prematurely.
