Lister CS Thermostat Kit
A complete thermostat kit for the Lister CS 3-1, 3.5-1, 5-1, 6-1 & 8-1 engines. When correctly fitted the spring side of the thermostat should be facing in towards the cylinder head. We recommend the thermostat be replaced at regular intervals to avoid failure. Please see fitting instructions below.
Thermostat Fitting Instructions
 | 1. Replace studs and fit thermostat in head as shown in photo. Note: In some cases, you may need to use a round file to clean or open hole in head slightly. |
 | 2. Fit first gasket and flange with large hole. |
 |
3. Fit second gasket and second flange with 1” BSP pipe thread. |
 |
4. Fit nuts and tighten, add pipe. |

5. After adding your tank and water supply, test engine and observe water is flowing correctly after engine has heated up. | |
|
6. Be vigilant of water flow after engine has been running for some time and replace thermostat at regular intervals to avoid failure that may cause overheating. |
