3” x 1/8” Piston Ring - Oil (STD)
High quality 3” x 1/8” piston ring suitable for vintage engines with a 3” standard bore. These oil control/scraper rings have a radial depth of 0.125”, please check your piston ring grove for suitability before ordering.

*This list of suitable engines is intended to be a reference guide only, it may be incomplete and contain errors and omissions. Remember, many of these engines can be 80 to 100 years old or more, piston ring groves may be worn or may have even been modified in the past. Be sure to check your engines piston and bore for ring suitability before purchasing.
Gap Your New Rings: All rings will need to be gaped to suit your bore, refer to your workshop manual for original manufactures specifications on correct ring gap required for your engine. In the absence of the original manufacturer’s specifications, which may be the case for many vintage stationary engines, a general rule of thumb can be applied for piston rings fitted to most water cooled vintage stationary engines, this should be no less than 0.003” of end gap per 1” of cylinder bore size (i.e. a 4” bore would need 0.012” end gap). Be sure to gap your rings on the smallest or unworn part of your bore.
