CHECK YOUR PISTON & BORE! Remember, many of these engines can be as much as 80 to 100 years old or more, piston ring groves may be worn or may have even been modified in the past. Be sure to check your engines piston and bore for ring suitability before purchasing.

Gap Check Your New Rings: All new rings should to be checked for correct minimum end gap requirement suitable for your engines bore, refer to your workshop manual for original manufactures specifications on correct ring end gap required for your engine. In the absence of the original manufacturer’s specifications please refer to the general information pamphlet that is provided with your new piston rings.
