Ronaldson & Tippett D, G, N, H & K Muffler Suit 1” BSP Pipe
A well-made reproduction Ronaldson & Tippett D, G, N, H & K canister style exhaust silencer with cast iron end plates and rolled tin work centre pieces, this high quality muffler will compliment any vintage stationary engine restoration project. Fits over 1” BSP Pipe (No Thread), or any pipe fitting with an approximate 35mm OD or smaller.
This new silencer is a reproduction of a Ronaldson & Tippett type found on the early D, G, N, H & K engines. The muffler is made of 4 main components, including the top and bottom cast iron end castings, outer rolled sheet metal sleeve and a rolled sheet metal internal baffle (See Photo 4), both inner and outer tin pieces have been drilled and spot welded as per the original design. The bottom casting will fit over 1” BSP pipes or fittings up to 35mm OD, it is then locked into place with a ½” Bolt.
While this silencer was originally intended for Ronaldson & Tippett engines, it would not look out of place on any small to medium sized vertical stationary engine that will accept a 1” BSP pipe fitting.
